Seniors

The City of Plymouth Athletic Club caters for athletes of all abilities and in all disciplines of running, jumping and throwing. Training session run throughout the week – please see our Training page for further details.

A free 2 week trial is offered to anyone who has not previously attended – please book your free trial by signing up as a monthly paying member through our membership system.

All Pay As You Go and Guest sessions must be booked through our calendar/events

Seniors may pay either monthly at £24 per month (£15 for under 13’s) or pay as you go. Pay as you go sessions cost £5.00 per session and must be paid in advance at the time of booking. No cash or cheques will be accepted.

Sprints

Sprint training sessions are held most evenings led by Neal Edwards and Steve Endacott. Club athletes compete in the SAL, SWAL, Devon Open Series and other open competitions during the summer months.

Hurdles

Hurdles training sessions are held most evenings led by Neal Edwards and Steve Endacott. Club athletes compete in the SAL, SWAL, Devon Open Series and other open competitions during the summer months.

Middle Distance

Training for middle distance runners is led by Alasdair Carpenter assisted by Hayley and Dean Smith. Club athletes compete in the SAL, SWAL, Devon Open Series and other open competitions during the summer months.

Endurance & Cross Country

The club has a strong endurance and cross country group led by Simon Anderson and Steve Blackford. Club athletes compete in the Westward Cross Country League throughout the winter and the SAL, SWAL, Devon Open Series and other open competitions during the summer months.

Throws

The club trains in all disciplines of throwing including Javelin, Hammer, Shot and Discus led by John Edwards. Club athletes compete in the SAL, SWAL, Devon Open Series and other open competitions during the summer months.

Jumps

The club caters for all disciplines in jumps including High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump and Pole Vault. Club athletes compete in the SAL, SWAL, Devon Open Series and other open competitions during the summer months.

Multi-events

Club athletes compete in the SAL, SWAL, Devon Open Series and other open competitions during the summer months. Multi-event training is coordinated by both Dave Bee and Neal Edwards.
